All About Kat
My name is Kat, I am 60 years old, happy healthy and full of life. I am blessed as the mother of one son, Eric, and 2 grandsons, Max & Ryley.
I grew up in Pacific Beach, a small surfing town in San Diego, CA. "Mission Bay High Class of '75".
After graduation I joined the United States Navy, and trained as a Dental Prosthetic Technician, one of the best decisions I made in life. I am a proud Veteran and lifetime member at VFW Post 1512 in Lemon Grove.
However, at the young age of 45 my Dr. informed me that, due to repetitive movement, there was no cartilage left in the 3rd joints of both of my thumbs and that I could no longer work in my current career or I would lose the use of my hands. The sad thing was that I truly loved making dentures because I was able to give people back their smiles.
Since I was too young to retire I had to redirect my career path. Not an easy task to undertake. The new path, although very bumpy, led me to becoming the owner of "Kat's Krafting Korner".
